Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology is a national key university focusing on information and electronics, with the coordinated development of engineering, science, management and literature. It is directly under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the key universities under the national "Innovation Platform for Superior Disciplines" project and the "211 Project" project, one of the national demonstration bases for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, the first 35 demonstration software colleges, the first 9 demonstration microelectronics colleges One of the first nine universities approved to set up integrated circuit talent training bases and the first batch of first-class network security college construction demonstration projects. In 2017, the School's information and communication engineering and computer science and technology were selected as the national "double first-class" construction disciplines.

- Bachelor's: $2,000 – $5,000

- MBA / Medicine: $5,000 – $10,000
- Students on X1 visa (for over 180 days) may apply for part-time work after university approval
- You must get your residence permit marked with "part-time work allowed"
- Allowed to work no more than 8 hours/week during study; full-time in holidays may be permitted
