Nanchang University is a world-class discipline construction university under the national "double first-class" plan, a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Province, a key university under the national "211 Project", and a high-level university in Jiangxi Province. The school focuses on the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, firmly establishes the central position of talent training, the basic position of education and teaching, and the priority position of undergraduate teaching. In connection with the "Double 10000" plan of the Ministry of Education, 39 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites and 39 provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites were approved. 30 courses were selected into the national "first-class courses", ranking first among the universities jointly built by the Ministry and the province.

- Students on X1 visa (for over 180 days) may apply for part-time work after university approval
- You must get your residence permit marked with "part-time work allowed"
- Allowed to work no more than 8 hours/week during study; full-time in holidays may be permitted
