China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, the 211 Project, the 985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform Project, a world-class discipline construction university, and one of the first batch of national industrial technology innovation strategic alliance universities. In 1960 and 1978, the university was identified as a national key university twice, and was one of the first batch of universities with the right to grant doctors and masters in China. It has a graduate school and 12 colleges.
